Significant personality overhaul for XBox 360 controller..
Watch this space…. I am just filtering through a lot of information that has just surfaced about the next generation XBox 360 controller that Microsoft maybe working on.. When I get some conclusive evidence, I will post it up, but in the meantime here is the “general” synopsis…
Firstly I have no idea about the physical controller itself, what it will look like, but I can tell you about the concept. They are going to try and incorporate the accelerometers that Nintento have cleverly incorporated into the Wii controller, so porting Wii games over to the Xbox 360 shouldnt be a problem and they should operate the same way.
Second and most ingenious, is a memory card or some storage device that will populate the game with your Avatar. What this means is that you can take your own controller down the street to your mates palce and as soon as the Xbox 360 is connected to it, up comes your gamers profile, Avatar and statistics.. The other benefit of this technology is the ability to migrate your avatar from one game to another, so in theory you could play a game like World of WarCraft, become a level 70 super winged monstor and then take your controller and have your super winged monster playing against Tiger Woods at Palm Springs on Tiger Woods 2010 edition…
