Rocketboom’s Into Australia
I have talked about Rocketboom at many LAMP events as being a great model of how a collaborative and personality driven video blogs can reach audiences that rival that of traditional TV and radio. LAMP mentor and speaker Andrew Apostola’s enterprise Portable Content Festival is touring three seminars with the creator in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne - tickets are $45 and $30 concession. The seminars are moderated by accomplished blogger Peter Giles who leads all things digital and web at AFTRS and there is more from their site below:
Andrew Baron, founder and producer of Rocketboom is recognised as the leading strategist of branded content and online video advertising in New York, and internationally. His online technology and culture videocast Rocketboom.com, has been accused by the New York Times of ‘writing the obituary of TV’ and is today considered one of the fastest growing video start-ups on the web, generating over $1 million annually in ad revenue alone
Andrew Baron will make appearances in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide throughout August as part of the Portable Film Festival. Listen to his thoughts on the future of the Internet, branded content and online advertising.
