“It blowed up real good”
The series was such a roaring success that future plans for Dr. Horrible continue to grow
Where to begin???
Well, for those keen to sing along there is the soundtrack that will be out on iTunes September 2nd.
Next the DVD release which may take a little while due to the extras - namely, “Commentary: the musical” and the inclusion of the ten best video applications to the Evil League of Evil (submissions open soon!).
Best of all there has been mention of a fourth installment of Dr. Horrible! But no details as yet.
I have included one of many recorded excerpts from Comic-Con 2008 listed on YouTube (worth watching). There were too many to include them all but I’m sure you will find them if you really want to. It’s great to hear Joss getting so fired up about this web adventure - he seems so empowered by it. I’m sure this won’t be the last we see from him in this format.
“I’m not trying to bring down the studios - I do still work there, as we all do, and I’m grateful for it…but things are changing, and its really important that we make sure that as they change they change for the better. Dr. Horrible was just a little bit about that, about putting power in different hands… THE WRONG HANDS” Joss Whedon
There is more of a transcript of some of the Comic Con Q&A session at Karina Longworth’s blog
Oh and last but not least the release of the original web comics via MySpace which, according to tubefilter, will eventually be available in print form as part of the MySpace Dark Horse Presents Collection
And finally, the really hard core fans, or just those who are interested can also check out fans video responses on YouTube.
