Future of Australian TV is online?

In the US and Europe we’ve seen a lot of content starting out on the internet before migrating to TV or to new online delivery platforms - on your TiVO, PS3 or XBox360. Afterworld is an example of short content that is now showing on the Sci Fi channel but started on the internet, Sony recently did a distribution deal with popular Vodcast Rocketboom and HBO have bought up a machinima series called Molotov Alva.

If you thought all the action in this area was overseas you’re wrong. A recent article in the Sydney Morning Herald previewed content being developed by Yahoo7 which takes television services to the web. Glad it’s finally happening here and it looks like Seven are leading the way, as they are with their free to air services. You can read the article here.
