Hi I’m Back, Sorry about the hiatus, now pass the 3G iPhone!
Well, its been a while since my last post, but i’m back now. Our digital media department here at AFTRS was struck down with a bad case of the “walking dead” or Zombie flu, which knocked all the staff around for a few weeks. But back I am now, with my new iPhone 3G..
I was just reading a press release from Apple about selling 1 million iPhone’s last weekend, most of which, no doubt, were bought to fire up a slanging match between the new owner and the blogger in the USA who has had enough of the iPhone people telling him where to shove his old bit of technology.. (thanks Kit for that bit of info
So before the blogging war really kicks off using the superfluous user “functionality” of these phones as ammunition - ie: “My iPhone has a touch screen that can rotate” or “My Nokia has a 5 mega pixel video camera so its better that yours!!”, let me share with you the REAL reason why these iPhones really are the coolest phone gadget to ever hit the communications industry, and why they will be very hard to beat..
I am now an official iPhone Developer, Yes, let me say that again, iPhone Developer… Besides the Symbian community out there, how many mobile phones can be used as a true profitable development platform? This option alone allows people outside of the hardware manufacturer, to leverage off the product marketing and user base and sell applications and ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY!…
from launch to now, there has been 10 million downloads from the new iPhone App store Apple actually allows iPhone developers to use this portal to sell their wares.. With some of the developers software selling for around $9.00 or so, you could potentially do quite well and make some serious cash… Apple even allows you to give away your software for free, if you choose, just to get exposure…
So what better way to make some money, than jump on the back of this great device and get yourself an iPhone!..
